Our mission is to provide the best care for your furry family members. We strive to make the experience of trusting your pets to someone as reassuring and comfortable as possible. We will treat your babies with the upmost compassion and care as we do our own.
About Us
Parks' Paw Palace LLC was founded by Jessica Parks Van Der Veen in April of 2023. Parks' Paw Palace is located in Troy, VA, just a 15 minute drive from Pantops and 20 minutes to downtown Charlottesville. Parks' Paw Palace resides on 2 acres, with a large, completely fenced in back yard. Parks' Paw Palace LLC provides pet boarding (in sitters home) doggie daycare, and wedding vendor services. Weekends and public holidays incur additional charges. Descriptions of services offered as well as rates are listed below.
About the Owner
Hi, my name is Jess. I am the owner of Parks' Paw Palace LLC. I am an upbeat, caring and responsible adult, who left my 9-5 job in Early Intervention (I love working with 2 legged and 4 legged babies!) to pursue other passions. I have been an animal lover from the start. Growing up, we had 5 dogs, 3 cats, 2 horses, hamsters, and anything else we could convince my parents to allow us to adopt. I started caring for pets on my own in my neighborhood when I was 10 years old. I do boarding, dog walking, and drop-in visits. I personally have 5 fur-babies who are extremely cared for and whose needs are put first. My fur-babies range from 10 lbs- 70 lbs. With this being said, I have experience in most everything when it comes to caring for your pet(s)!
I work from home on my own schedule. I’m flexible and mostly always available! I stay home all day with your pets. If I do have to leave, I do not leave pet's alone for more than 3 hours (usually less) unless I have spoken with the owner about it specifically-this is only when I have a medical appointment every now and then.
I have a huge fenced yard on 2 acres and a pet proof home. I allow dogs on the furniture, but am happy to do my best to keep yours off furniture during their stay if preferred. While I have my fur-babies who are very friendly, I am also able to separate them if needed. I am always supervising all pets.
Please give me a detailed account of what your fur-baby needs, and I am willing to comply. I know that every pet has different needs. I am a quick learner, and am comfortable learning what your pet requires. I am willing to meet beforehand to go over what your pet needs, and meet you and them to ensure everyone is comfortable!

Wedding Vendor Base Price: $150
Includes base of up to 2 hours of time, preparation, coordinating, mileage, etc. Jessica will hold optional 30-minute meeting or meet and greet to discuss plans for handling (Dog) during wedding photos as well as boarding accommodations if applicable.
Add On(s):
Handle Pet for Pictures Pre-Ceremony: +$75
Jessica will arrive fifteen minutes prior to agreed start time and will be responsible for taking care of (Dog) while (Couple) take photos. Jessica will coordinate with Photographer and Event Planner for photos. Jessica will ensure that (Dog) has access to water and is secure and entertained during waiting periods.
Handle Pet during Ceremony: +$75
Coverage will include assisting (Dog) get down the aisle and taking care of (Dog) during the ceremony.

Handle Pet for Pictures Post-Ceremony: +$75
Jessica will be responsible for taking care of (Dog) while (Couple) take photos. Jessica will coordinate with Photographer for photos. Jessica will ensure that (Dog) has access to water and is secure and entertained during waiting periods.
Handle Pet for meet and greets with guests: +$75
Jessica to take (Dog) to greet guests during cocktail hour, for about 30-45 minutes.
Additional Pet: +$35/per session
Additional Hour: +$75/per hour
Pick up/Drop off Pet: TBD per location/ $2 per mile
